Παρουσιάζεται άποιος που αναζητά τον Θεό, που παράλληλα δεν γνωρίζει σχεδόν τίποτε γι΄ Αυτόν. Όμως, ανένας δρόμος δεν ήταν μα ρύς, αμμιά ταλαιπωρία μεγά- λη αι ανένας σ οπός σημαντι ότερος, προ ειμένου να βρει την αιώνια ζωή. Τι άραγε παρα ίνησε αυτόν τον άνθρωπο να ψάξει, με τέτοια συνεπή αποφασι-στι ότητα, γιά να γνωρίσει τον Θεό; Με αφηγηματι ή ελευθερία, αλλά διατηρώντας τις βιβλι ές αλήθειες, η Γιασμίν Γιλντίζ διηγείται την ιστορία του Υπουργού τόσο συναρπαστι ά, που το βιβλιαρά ι αυτό σε παγιδεύει, μέχρι να το τελειώσεις. Nach meiner Erfahrung in der evangelistischen Verk?ndigung geh?rt die Geschichte von dem ?thiopischen Finanzminister (Apg 8,26-40) zu den beeindruckendsten Schilderungen der Bibel. Hier wird uns ein Gottsucher vorgestellt, der zwar kaum etwas von Gott wusste, dem aber kein Weg zu weit, kein Aufwand zu gro? und keine Zielsetzung wichtiger war, um das ewige Leben zu finden. Was mag diesen hohen Beamten nur dazu bewegt haben, mit einer so konsequenten Entschlossenheit alles daran zu setzen, um den wahren Gott zu erkennen? In erz?hlerischer Freiheit, aber dennoch die biblischen Grundlinien einhaltend, hat Jasmin Yildiz die Ministergeschichte in so spannender Weise aufgearbeitet, dass man das B?chlein nicht mehr aus der Hand legen kann, bevor man nicht alles gelesen hat. Gerade f?r Leser, die sich noch nicht in der Bibel auskennen, ist diese Geschichte eine besonders effektive Hilfe, das Evangelium zu verstehen. In dem Dialog zwischen Philippus und dem Minister wird dem suchenden Leser auf leicht nachvollziehbare Art der Weg der Rettung nahegebracht. Ist er dann selbst geneigt, auch in den Besitz des ewigen Lebens zu gelangen, dann findet er im Anhang eine Art Gebrauchsanweisung f?r diesen notwendigen Schritt, um einmal das Himmelreich zu erreichen.
