Нейродегенеративные заболевания – болезнь Паркинсона (БП), болезнь Альцгеймера, боковой амиотрофический склероз и др. – имеют огромное социальное значение, так как во многих случаях это одна из основных причин инвалидности и смертности людей трудоспособного и пожилого возраста. На данный момент не существует надежных методов диагностики ранних (доклинических) стадий БП. Основным «маркером» доклинической стадии БП можно считать нарушения поведения в фазе сна с быстрыми движениями глаз (RBD). Не существует и методов лечения, которые могли бы устранить причину БП, затормозить патологические процессы в головном мозге. Современные препараты лишь уменьшают тяжесть симптомов БП. Именно поэтому поиск новых подходов для лечения и профилактики болезни Паркинсона является одной из главных задач современной неврологии. Важнейшее значение при этом приобретают методы клеточной и генной терапии с использованием стволовых клеток. В работе показано, что морфологические разрушения, нарушения цикла бодрствование–сон и уровня двигательной активности у мышей после введения выбранных доз МФТП могут рассматриваться как соответствующие модели ранних стадий БП. Эти морфологические, физиологические и поведенческие нарушения не развиваются при использовании в качестве «антидота» генных конструкций, позволяющих доставлять GDNF непосредственно в стриатум, что свидетельствует о перспективности такого подхода. Эти данные в дальнейшем могут быть использованы при разработке доклинической диагностики и терапевтических средств лечения БП.

This book focuses on the methods of storage commonly used in hybrid systems. After an introductory chapter reviewing the basics of electrochemistry, Chapter 2 is given over to the storage of electricity in the form of hydrogen. Once hydrogen has been made, we have to be able to convert it back into electricity on demand. This can be done with another energy converter: a fuel cell, the subject of Chapter 3. Such a system is unable to deliver significant dynamics in terms of storage and release of electricity and needs to be supplemented with another solution: a detailed study of supercapacitors is provided in Chapter 4.While the storage systems touched upon in the previous three chapters (hydrogen batteries and supercapacitors) both exhibit advantageous characteristics, at present they are still relatively costly. Thus, the days of the electrochemical accumulator by no means appear to be numbered just yet. This will therefore be the topic of Chapter 5.
