Birinci b?l?mde kavramsal ?er?eve i?inde kasem, yemin ve hilf gibi kavramların birbiriyle ayniliği ve farklığı ?zerinde duruldu. Dilsel ?er?eve i?erisinde kasem i?in kullanılan harfler; kendisiyle yemin edilen (muksemun bih) ve yeminin cevabı (muksemun aleyh) a?ıklanmıştır. Yine birinci b?l?mde yemin ?eşitlerinden “zahir” ve “muzmar”ın a?ıklaması yapılmıştır.?alışmanın ikinci b?l?m?nde İslam ?ncesi d?nemde Arap dili ve k?lt?r?ndeki kasem geleneği incelenmiştir. Cahiliyedeki yemin konuları arasında Allah, k?be, putlar, zaman ve bir?ok tabiat varlıkları bulunmaktadır. İslam ?ncesi d?nemde maddi menfaatler elde etmek i?in yemin ifadeleriyle beraber şairler, sihirbazlar, k?hinler gizemli s?zler s?yleyerek insanların kendilerine inanmalarını ve y?nelmelerini sağlıyorlardı. ?zellikle k?hinler, kendi inan? ve k?lt?rlerine g?re kendisiyle yemin edilen şeyi ifade ettikleri halde cevabını s?ylemediklerinden yeminlerini gizemlilik i?inde bırakırlardı.???nc? b?l?mde Mekk?-Meden? s?relerdeki kasem şekilleri mukayese edilmiş ve bu bağlamda Mekk? s?relerdeki kasemlerin genel itibariyle a?ık yemine ?rnek teşkil ettiği tespit edilmiştir. Bu b?l?mde ayrıca Allah’ın zat ve sıfatlarıyla yemin ettiğine dair ?rneklerin yanında hem m?şahhas hem de m?bhem varlıklara yemin ettiği hususu belirtilmiştir. Bu bağlamda Meden? s?relerdeki kasemlerin kapalı yeminlere ?rnek oluşturduğu tespiti de yapılmıştır. Yeminler, kendisiyle yemin edilen hususların insanlar a?ısından ?nemli olduğuna dikkat ?ektiği gibi, yeminin cevabı hakkında da bir giriş oluşturduğu muhakkaktır. ??nk? yeminler cevaplarıyla ancak tamamlanır ve anlaşılır hale gelir. Cevapsız yemin ise ni?in yemin edildiği belli olmayan bir eyleme d?n?ş?r. ???nc? b?l?mde ayrıca Kur’?n’da yemin ?sl?bu i?erisinde yemin edilenlerle yemine cevap teşkil edenlere dair ilgili ?rnekler yer almıştır. Ayrıca Kur’?n kıssalarındaki yemin ?rnekleri de bu b?l?mde ele alınmıştır.D?rd?nc? b?l?mde ise kasemin muhtemel sebepleri, hedefleri, neticeleri, Allah’ın yemin etmesi incelenmiş olup bu b?l?mde ayrıca kasemin fıkh? boyutuna da işaret edilmiştir. Y?ce Allah’ın varlıklara yemin etmeyeceği d?ş?ncesinde olanlar, yeminin ancak yemin edileni y?celtmeyi hedeflediğinden bunun Allah i?in d?ş?n?lemeyeceği g?r?ş?n? ileri s?rm?şlerdir. Allah’ın varlıklara yemin etmesi yemin edilen varlıkların fayda ve zararına dikkat ?ekmek i?indir. Ayrıca Allah’ın değişik varlıklara yemin etmesi, o varlıklar ?zerinden kendisine yemin etmesi anlamına gelmektedir. Zira yemin edilen nesnelerin başında “rab” lafzının olduğunu s?yleyenler incir’e yapılan yemini “T?n’in rabbine yemin olsun” şeklinde anlamışlardır.Sonu? kısmında yeminin, tarihin başlangıcından itibaren insanlar ve toplumlar arasında g?ven ve itimat telkin etmek i?in dilsel iletişim ve etkileşim aracı olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Budan Buradan hareketle şunu s?ylemek m?mk?nd?r: Ccahiliye d?neminde insanlar kendilerince kutsal saydıkları herhangi bir şeye yemin ederken, İsl?m? d?nemde yeminin sadece Allah’a yapılması istenmiştir.
