So sprach die englische Ausgabe von einem Case-Book, die amerikanische von einem Case Book und sp?tere Auflagen gar von einem «Casebook». Das Buch enth?lt zw?lf Kurzgeschichten, die in der deutschen Version jeweils rund 30 bis 40 Seiten umfassen. Die Buchstaben in eckigen Klammern bezeichnen die inzwischen fest etablierten Abk?rzungen. Beim Aufbau eines markengerechten Images kommt dem Slogan also seit jeher eine zentrale Rolle zu. – Wenn Slogans also eine so wichtige strategische Aufgabe innerhalb der Kommunikationspolitik eines Unternehmens inne haben, wie gut wird dann dieses wertvolle immaterielle Gut tats?chlich gesch?tzt? – Und was passiert, wenn sich Unbefugte daran vergreifen?
Im ersten Teil der Studie wird die Bedeutung eines Slogans generell f?r ein Unternehmen untersucht. Die Frage dabei ist, ob und welche Unterschiede es im Bezug auf die Bedeutung des Slogans in den verschiedenen Branchen gibt. Als zweites wird in der Studie hinterfragt, welche Erwartungen Unternehmer an einen Slogan stellen und was einen guten Slogen auszeichnet.
Ein weiterer Abschnitt der Studie widmet sich der Frage, wie weit Unternehmerinnen und Unternehmer ?ber M?glichkeiten des rechtlichen Schutzes von Slogans Bescheid wissen, bzw. wie viele einen markenrechtlich gesch?tzten Claim einsetzen.
Im vierten Teil werden Erfahrungen von ?sterreichischen Unternehmen mit Sloganklau dokumentiert und welche Ma?nahmen sie setzen, wenn ihr Slogan von anderen Marken unrechtm??ig eingesetzt wird.
Methodik
Alle Analysen der vorliegenden Studie basieren auf einer 2012 – im Auftrag des Institutes f?r ganzheitliche Markenbewertung – ?sterreichweit durchgef?hrten Marktforschung. Daf?r wurden anhand eines strukturierten Fragebogens 306 Einzelinterviews mit EntscheiderInnen von Unternehmen in den Bereichen Industrie, Dienstleistung, Handel und Werbung durchgef?hrt. Besonderer Wert wurde darauf gelegt herauszuarbeiten, ob und wie sehr sich die Sichtweisen der verschiedenen Gruppen tats?chlich unterscheiden.
